Kadlec Healthplex

Richland, WA

The 70,600 SF Kadlec Healthplex created a new model for healthcare delivery, to better serve patients with multiple and diverse medical challenges. Developed through a highly interactive Lean process, 24 existing services lines were brought together from throughout the city to a single location.

Built 43 years ago as a retail store, an initial assessment found that the building had “good bones” and gained a second life as the Kadlec Healthplex. Staff of all specialties work together in an open office configuration, and are surrounded by patent care areas, thus ensuring maximum efficiency.
