Kadlec Medical Office Building

Richland, WA

The 60,000 SF Kadlec Health System in Richland, Washington is committed to lean management processes and concepts with the goal of improving the quality of patient care and reducing healthcare costs.

The multi-specialty Goethals Medical Office Building is designed in response to the growing demand for outpatient specialty services that tend to flex and change over time.

Through a series of stakeholder work sessions a highly flexible building was conceived that relies on standardized rooms and flexible areas with movable furniture and carts rather than built-in casework.

The clinical areas are configured in pods with on-stage / off-stage areas to improve the patient experience and enhance clinical staff collaboration. The building will be opening in the summer of 2013.
